​Excelsecu Wins Bank of China 2026 OTP Authenticator Procurement Project, Strengthening Authentication in Digital Banking

SHENZHEN, China – June 5, 2026 – Shenzhen Excelsecu Data Technology Co., Ltd. (Excelsecu) officially won the bid for the 2026 One-Time Password (OTP) Authenticator Procurement Project of Bank of China Co., Ltd. (BOC). This collaboration underscores the long-standing partnership between the two entities and highlights Excelsecu’s strong capabilities in financial-grade multi-factor authentication (MFA) technologies.

As a Global Systemically Important Bank (G-SIB) operating in 64 countries and regions, Bank of China requires robust and compliant authentication mechanisms to secure cross-border transactions, corporate fund transfers, and remote access scenarios. The hardware OTP token procurement project is intended to enhance identity verification across its global corporate banking infrastructure.

Bank of China has selected Excelsecu to provide two different models of hardware OTP tokens:

• Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP)

• Challenge-Response OTP (OCRA)

Both authentication models are based on the OATH standards. They are applicable to IAM (Identity and Access Management) systems, enterprise access environments, and corporate banking authentication scenarios.
